A Matter of Balance is an evidence-based, fall prevention program developed by Boston University and MaineHealth. Programs are available across Southeast Tennessee, at no cost to the participant, thanks to many partnering agencies. Physical Activity Resource Guide – Chattanooga offers many physical activity opportunities for older adults. Find Tai Chi, water aerobics, Silver Sneakers, and places to take a walk in this local guide.   Physical activity can help improve balance and prevent falls, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve mood and overall well-being.

Resources – Download information about home safety, medication management, vision and hearing tests, safe footware, managing chronic conditions, and more. Resources are available for health care and social service providers as well, to help older adult patients and clients reduce falls.
